NetherRelam has just released the patch notes for the new Peacemaker update, which is now available in Early Access to those who purchased the game’s Premium Edition. This has led to Peacemaker being included as a DLC guest fighter inMortal Kombat 1alongside the previously released Omni-Man and the upcoming Homelander.
Fans finally got their first full taste of how Peacemaker will play inMortal Kombat 1in a character trailer earlier this month, which highlighted the peace-obsessed vigilante’s move set, Fatal Blow, andPeacemaker’sMK 1Fatalitythat sees him disintegrate his opponent with a sonic blast from his helmet and feed the remains to his beloved pet Eagly. John Cena reprises his role from the aforementioned DCEU projects in both voice and likeness, giving fans of Peacemaker’s theatrical and streaming appearances an authentic experience as he taunts his foes and unleashes a barrage of gunfire, helmet attacks, and even a Captain America-like shield for good measure.
Peacemaker himself isn’t the onlynew content coming toMortal Kombat 1, as NetherRelam recently posted the full patch notes detailing every improvement being implemented to the game now that Peacemaker is in Early Access. Steam and the Epic Games Store are increasing their PC space requirements forMortal Kombat 1to accommodate any future Kombat Pack content. Across all systems, there are fixes to various bugs and glitches, as well as adjustments for existingMK 1playable characters.
Other changes being brought with this latestMortal Kombat 1update patch include the ability to manually link a game profile to a WB Friends Account,as well as crossplay supportand a Social Menu that lets players add other users to their WB Friend List. Invasions mode is also getting a few tweaks, such as new in-game HUD indicators that show the Invasion Character Level and Elemental Types of both the player and their opponents during a match. There are also indicators that display active modifiers during a match, and Fighter and Kameo XP rewards have been significantly increased during Encounters.
Lastly,Mortal Kombat 1’s Practice Mode now allows players to configure character-specific mechanics for playable fighters and Kameos alike. Support for theupcoming Kameo Fighter Janet Cage(a female alternate universe variant ofMortal Kombatmainstay Johnny Cage) has been added ahead of her launch sometime in March. As mentioned before, anyone who bought the Premium Edition ofMortal Kombat 1can now dive into battle as Peacemaker, but everyone else will have to wait until his full release on March 7.
