Earlier this month,Mortal Kombat 11developer NetherRealm Studios released aHarley Quinn-inspired skin for Cassie Cage, joking that Cage had auditioned for the upcomingBirds of Preymovie but had inherited her father’s acting skills. The skin was a welcome addition to the gory fighting game, as many felt that Cage’s other skins fell on the lackluster side. Indeed, it seems as if the Kombat Pack 1 Cassie Quinn skin is becoming a fan-favorite, especially due to its attention to detail.

One major detail stands out overall, though. Located on Cage’s hip pouch is a small pin of Batman with his eyes X’d out, which is practically impossible to detect during traditionalMortal Kombat 11gameplay. This helps the Harley Quinn skin stand out in comparison to others, particularly those of Cassie Cage. After all, even though this dead Batman pin is small, it shows how much time and effort was put into designing it.

To some, this shows a shift from Cassie Cage having the least-detailed skins to having one of the most, though it stands to reason that fans of the DC hero wish that was the case for everyone in that franchise. WhenMortal Kombat 11revealed its Joker, who is set to join the roster on January 28, many were shocked and dismayed by how the iconic DC villain appeared.

While skins may adjust this and that the character could be changed prior to his release date, many definitely think the core Joker skin is lacking in detail and pales in comparison to otherMortal Kombat 11characters. Some even pointed out how similarMK11’s Joker is to a peculiar parody, givings fans something they can’t unsee when looking at the character.

Either way,Jokeris some time off, but Cassie Quinn is here now. The new character and skin will likely continue to receive attention, given the recent release ofJokerin theaters, Harley Quinn’s upcomingBirds of Prey, and the typical prevalence of the characters at Halloween time, but thisMortal Kombat11 pin of a dead batman will likely remain a standout when it comes to design choices of the infamous duo.

Mortal Kombat 11is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
