Mortal Kombat 11fans who haven’t picked up the Kombat Pack are eagerly awaiting the release of Joker (even if histhrows are bugged), as he is the newest guest character to be joining the fighting game’s colorful roster. As is customary with most DLC fighters, NetherRealm Studios has also released a few more skins for other fighters themed around the Joker.

This new skin pack turns some ofMortal Kombat 11’s familiar faces intoBatmanvillains, such as Baraka’s turn as Killer Croc and Noob Saibot as the Batman Who Laughs. But it’s Kitana as Catwoman that has proven to be the most popular with fans, so much so that her popularity seems to rival evenJoker’s, fatalitiesand all.

While some fans are poring overearly concept art that makes Joker look more like Heath Ledger, it seems many fans are just as eager to check out Kitana’s turn as Gotham’s lovely antiheroine Catwoman. While the other “Elseworlds” skins are great, none of them have struck a chord with fans quite like the “Katwoman of Outworld.” For fans not familiar with the fighting franchise, Kitana has played a major role in theMortal Kombatseries ever since her introduction inMortal Kombat II. The 10,000 year old Edenian princess turned on her adoptive father, the emperor Shao Khan and fought alongside the Earthrealm warriors. She also regularly fights her “twin” sister Mileena and had a love interest in series hero Liu Kang.

ForMortal Kombatfans who are not fully familiar withBatman’s rogues gallery,Catwomanis one of his oldest villains as well as his most enduring love interest. A burglar from Gotham who uses a bullwhip as a weapon, Catwoman started out as a supervillain but gradually turned into an antiheroine, helping others while still committing crimes. She has even teamed up with Batman and the rest of the Bat Family from time to time, and was even admitted into the Justice League at one point. She’s also one of the founding members of the villainess group the Gotham City Sirens, alongside Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.

For those who aren’t exactly fans of Kitana, NetherRealm made some othernew DC comics skins for otherMortal Kombat 11characters, including “Darkest Knight” Noob Saibot, “Killer Croc” Baraka, and “Time Lord of Apokolips” Geras. Along with Cassie Cage’s earlier released Harley Quinn skin, it seems NetherRealm is once again mashing up both the DC andMortal Kombatuniverses into some amalgamated alternate reality. If DC’s not already working on a comic based on that idea, it should be. Now all that’s left to decide is who would make a better Batman: Liu Kang or Scorpion?

Mortal Kombat 11is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia. The DC Elseworlds Skin Pack is now available on all platforms for less than $10.
