While this has dramatically changed the value of most of the weapons in the game, there are still plenty of top-tier weapons that players work towards getting. Because there are still lots of high-value weapons out there, this article has been updated with a few new entries. It’s important to keep in mind that weapon value is subjective, but there are some that are seen as high value items by the majority of the Fallout community.
Shred Enemies To Pieces
Effects
Some players may be surprised to learn that this type of weapon doesn’t need bullets to be powerful. For some reason, if the player applies the shredder mod to the weapon,it can be used in a similar way to an automatic melee weapon. While the Vampire’s effect is usually the most desired effect, Bloodied and Anti-Armor work very well on the Minigun.
It’s a strange top-tier weapon, as it doesn’t seem like Bethesda meant for this to be a part of the game. That said, players who love heavy weapons and melee attacks will thoroughly enjoy taking down the most dangerous beasts in Appalachia without having to fire a single shot.
Re-Roll A Named Weapon
The Elder’s Mark was introduced with theOnce in a Blue Moonupdate.It’s an automatic rifle variant that packs a punch. Unlike some of theother named legendary weapons, the Elder’s Mark can be re-rolled for new legendary effects.
While there are lots of effects that work well on the Elder’s Mark, like with most automatic rifles, the Quad effect is one of the most highly sought-after effects. Combine that with either the explosive or critical damage boost effect and this gun can be devastating. Also, if the player is fortunate enough to get one with the VATS cost reduction effect, then this weapon becomes unstoppable.
An Often Overlooked Melee Weapon That Is Incredibly Powerful
The Deathclaw Gauntlet is a naturally hard-hitting weapon. While there are othermelee weapons that cause more damage, such as the chainsaw, the Deathclaw Gauntlet has the potential to take down enemies with just a single hit.
The plan to craft this weapon is pretty easy to come by. Players can often find it on the bodies of enemies like Super Mutants and the Sheepsquatch. Ideally, most players will want to have this weapon with theBloodiedeffect due to the large damage increase that it offers. Coupled with a faster swing speed and a boost to strength, the Deathclaw Gauntlet is a great yet relatively affordable weapon that is incredibly fun to use.
A Great Alternative To The Bloodied Fixer
While the Quad effect works well on the Elder’s Mark, the Bloodied effect really makes this weapon shine. This version of the Elder’s Mark has been steadily growing in popularity due to its fast rate of fire, minimal recoil, and surprisingly hard-hitting shots. Players can get this weapon by completing theBeasts of Burdenevent. This is a public event that will trigger randomly on any given server.
This is a very versatile weapon that canfit into multiple build types, making it the perfect choice for players who like to change things regularly. As for its usefulness in battle, this weapon can be used to fight pretty much every type of creature. From Scorchbeasts to the Blue Devil, this variant of the Elder’s Mark has enough firepower to take down pretty much everything that gets in its way.
It’s also worth noting that the explosive effect is a great secondary effect. While the faster fire rate effect does slightly better in combat, the explosive effect will help players to earn extra XP as it will tag nearby enemies.
Cut Down Enemies With Ease
While not as devastating as the Auto Axe, the Chainsaw is a very powerful weapon. With the right build, players can become borderline immortal. The Vampire’s effect works perfectly with the Chainsaw’s fast swing speed, which means that players will constantly be regenerating their health while using this weapon.
When using the Chainsaw,it will constantly be in power attack mode. So, the secondary effect that improves power attack damage will constantly be working in the background. Having lots of points in the strength category is a must, as it directly impacts the Chainsaw’s output. So, if the Chainsaw has a +1 to Strength, thenplayers will do even more damage.
Fast-Firing And Hard-Hitting
The B/50C/25 Fixer has been a very valuable weapon since it was brought into the game in 2019 with theWild Appalachiaupdate.Fixers are very popular weapons due to their rapid-fire rate, damage output, and how cheap the ammo tends to be.
Bloodied weapons are generally popular, as many players run Bloodied builds (low-health builds). Withthe right perks and buffs, players can maximize their damage output while at 20% health. The B/50C/25 Fixer isn’t just good for players with Bloodied Builds; it works well with full-health builds, too. This particular weapon can take down most enemies in just a couple of shots.
A Heavy Gunner’s Dream
The LMG or Light Machine Gun isa fast-firing heavy gunthat can take out high-level enemies with ease.The LMG has a fairly large ammo capacity; the base weapon has an ammo capacity of 75 rounds. With the Quad perk, that increases to 300.
This weapon does have one downside: the ammo. It takes 308 rounds, which isn’t the cheapest ammo out there, and it eats through the ammo very quickly. However, since enemies drop contextual ammo, it isn’t too hard to stock up on 308 rounds. Also, the ammo is commonly sold by players in their CAMP Vendors.
Enclave Weapons Are A Worthwhile Investment
The Enclave Plasma Rifle, or EPR, is a highly sought-after weapon. Unfortunately, getting mods for this weapon can be quite a challenge, especially the rarer mods. For this roll, an Aligned Flamer Barrel is a must. This mod typically costs between 30k and 40k if a seller can be found.
As for the weapon itself, it is a full-health build weapon. But it also works with bloodied builds. The Vampire’s effect heals the player each time an enemy is hit. With the flamer barrel and the 25% faster fire rate, players will die considerably less while using one of these, as they will constantly be gaining health while firing.
A Devastating Rifle
Staying with the EPRs, Bloodied is an excellent roll for this type of weapon. That said, an automatic barrel is typically the better option. The 50% Critical Damage effect helps to make this weapon akilling machine. By combining the extra Critical Damage with a reduced VATS cost, this weapon has the potential to be unstoppable.
For those wanting to Roll an EPR, completing the Dropped Connection event has the chance to award the player with an EPR. This can then berolled using Legendary Modulesfor the chance to get these effects.
The XP Gainer
For players who want to level up fast, a Quad Tesla Rifle is among the best weapons to have. With the right mods, this weapon has a special effect where it not only hits the target but also hits other nearby targets, which awards players more XP.
This weapon is particularly good during the Radiation Rumble event, due to the number ofhigh-level enemies in an enclosed space. The ammo for Tesla Rifles is easy to come by, and it has good durability, making it a well-rounded weapon.
