Confirmed by the developers on the game’s official website, the season 1 Battle Pass will feature new characters, cosmetics, stickers, and more. There will betwo different versions of the Battle Pass: a free one available to progress through for all players and a paid Premium Battle Pass, which will contain more rewards than the free one. New characters confirmed to be in the Battle Pass are Rick and Morty (as two different characters) fromRick and Morty, Stripe fromGremlins, and Marvel anti-hero Black Adam. There will also be other goodies like gold, ex boosts, unique badges, icons, and stickers. All of those things can be obtained for free just by playingMultiVersus.
The Premium Battle Pass will feature new cosmetics, new ringouts, new taunts, and everything from the free version. Additionally, if players buy the Premium Battle Pass, they will immediately unlock the “Toon Squad ‘96” Taz variant. The post on the game’s website also goes on to detail how the developers arecategorizing cosmetics inMultiVersus. “You’ll probably notice that our cosmetics are categorized into different rarities ranging from uncommon to rare to epic and finally to legendary. The tiers of these cosmetics are determined by the unique features of the items and the visual effects that accompany them.” The post ends with the developers encouraging players to “start progressing through that Battle Pass today and get those limited-time rewards.”
The season 1 Battle Pass is out now for players to progress through, and the season will end on July 10, 2025, giving players plenty of time to earn all the rewards. While some Battle Passes are continuous and all rewards can be earned even after a season ends, likeHalo: Infinite, it seems Player First Games has made the choice to make the rewards in the Battle Passes only obtainable within a specific time frame (at least for now). While that may frustrate some players, it appears to be reasonably priced with a generous timeframe to progress through the entire season 1 Battle Pass.
MultiVersusis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
