For years, the center was thought to be a thing of the past. Teams were leaning toward stacking guards and forwards. Over the last three years, centers have become the most vital position on the court once again andNBA 2K24gamers will be mostly grateful for that.

The reason not every gamer is grateful is because teams now make it a priority to get a quality center, limiting the number of good teams to join. There are a few teams with poor play at the center position, but the rest of the team often also has issues.NBA 2K24makes this a tough choice for which team to join. Thankfully, there are a handful of good landing spots.

When players look for teams to join at any position, they look for the starter at the desired position to be under 80, making them easy to overtake as a starter. Also, they want the rest of the team to be 80 or better so they at least play their positions competently.
Going into the year and as of this writing, only one team fits these two needs: the Golden State Warriors. Kevon Looney isn’t terrible but pretty easy to replace. After that, the MyPlayer gets a team loaded with talent and Steph Curry, one ofthe best points guardsof both today and all-time.

Steven Adams

It may take an extra week or two to get the starting job from Steven Adams but the Grizzlies reward the struggle. This is another team stocked up with talent and ready to seek a championship. This team had a high seed last season and they’re looking for somebody to take them all the way.

One on the starting squad, Ja Morant is a solid scorer and passer while Jaren Jackson Jr. helps out on the interior as one ofthe best power forwards. Feel free to get creative with builds here in Memphis, a stretch big or a pure rebounder here would both do an amazing job.

Mark Williams
There are two teams that have atrocious forwards and centers. The first is the Hornets who do not have a lot going for them. Outside of the point guard spot, this team is terrible. However, this creates an opportunity for the MyPlayer to step in and get the rest of the squad out of the way.
Since this team doesn’t have any ofthe highest-rated players, the gamer’s character can instantly be the one and only superstar in Charlotte. It’s more of a challenge to win games, it’s true, but the positive end is that nobody on the team will be taking the spotlight. Be ready to do all the work on both ends of the court and stuff the stat box.

Dwight Powell
Take what was said about the Hornets and amplify the situation of the Mavericks. The forwards and centers are even worse here but the guards are top-tier. Luka Doncic is one of the best players alive and Kyrie Irving is amongthe best shooting guards.

If players want to be able to get assists by passing to the exterior, Dallas is the place to be. Doncic and Irving will convert their shots. This will bait some opponents into leaving the center one-on-one which is great for scoring. If they don’t, pass outside and pick up the dime.

Chet Holmgren
For those who don’t want to spend all of their time on the interior but still want to be the primary scorer in the paint, Oklahoma City is a good landing spot. The small forward isn’t great but Chet Holmgren is easy to replace. After nabbing the starting job, the squad will be competitive.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexande could use a better target to pass to, being a good scoring option will automatically make a solid center the preferred passing option. The team still needs a center with defense, so a two-way player is likely the best kind of build for a center with the Thunder.
