The minute-long clip fromDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnesswas released byIMDbon Thursday to mark National Superhero Day. It begins with Chavez seemingly running from an invisible enemy and getting onto a bus to escape. But, the foe manages to pick up the bus with ease and begins to slowly destroy it. Doctor Strange uses aspell to reveal Gargantos, dismantle the bus, chop off one of the monster’s tentacles, and then throw his Cloak of Levitation to break Chavez’s fall.
When Gargantos realizes that Doctor Strange is distracted for just a second, he uses the bus as a weapon and throws it in the hero’s direction. Strange uses a spell to split the bus in half as it flies in his direction. The scene uses a lot of CGI, but it is put together brilliantly and has begun an exciting conversation among fans on social media.
Judging by the scene, Gargantos will probably be one ofDoctor Strange’s main enemies in the film, and it seems like his target will be Chavez. In addition, the way Strange looks at Chavez after he rescues her makes it seem like this will be their first meeting in the film. The scene also confirms that Strange will be more in control of his powers in the much-awaited project and has come a long way from when he first arrived at Kamar-Taj and studied under the Ancient One.
