Unfortunately, both of them were nerfed in the lastElden Ringupdate. However, that didn’t keep players from finding new ways to get an edge, as they are now resorting to using a newly added melee combat mechanic to take down the most unforgiving boss in the base game.
In a new post on theElden Ringsubreddit, user oRezyn reveals a new strategy to cheeseMalenia, Blade of Miquella. Apparently, if players useElden Ring’sDryleaf Artson Malenia, it stun-locks her, allowing players to repeatedly spam melee kicks without even giving her a chance to retaliate. Considering how difficult it is to deal with some of Malenia’s attacks, such as the Waterfowl Dance, this is definitely a pretty handy way to deal with the boss.
What makes the encounter even more hilarious is that the player takes down Malenia with another friend, with both of them using the melee attacks. Inspired byElden Ring’s Let Me Solo Her, they name themselves Let Us Duo Her and absolutely wreck Malenia together. The alternating melee attacks ensure that Malenia is defeated in just about a minute, which could make the strategy one of the fastest ways to take her down in addition to being one of the easiest.
