Psyonix, the studio behindRocket League, will develop this newFortnitemode where players can compete on various tracks with cars that come with various boosters. On its official website, Epic Games describesRocket Racingas a supersonic arcade racer, with little more information as to what its gameplay entails.

Epic Games acquired Psyonix in 2019, and four years later this collaboration brings two of the most popular video games together asRocket Racingseems to be aRocket League-inspired mode forFortnite.Rocket Racingwas briefly teased during theBig Bang event inFortnite, as players could see three upcoming game modes: aLEGOsurvival crafting adventure, a new music game calledFortniteFestival, and this fast-paced arcade racer inspired byRocket League. During this event, players discovered the first preview ofRocket Racing, showcasing various cars competing on gravity-defying tracks at high speed. The speedometer goes over 600 kilometers per hour, which roughly amounts to 373 miles per hour.
