Nvidiais seemingly on the warpath. The tech giant colloquially known as “team green” is allegedly looking to bring some new products out, possibly in early 2022, with a goal in-mind of going head-to-head with old rivals AMD and newcomers to the GPU circuit Intel. Not only that, but the company is looking to re-introduce older products as well, with theRTX 2060 being rebranded with 12 GB of RAM, a card that originally came out in 2019. However, while this still seems to be the case, the Founders Edition will not be hitting the shelves.
According to a recent report,Nvidiahas canceled the Founders Edition of the upcoming 2060 12 GB. While it was originally listed, apparently this was in error and has since been removed. Another source indicates that the company does not intend to release the 2060 FE at all. Going forward, then, it will be that only custom and partner variations of the graphics card will be available, which could be disappointing for those looking for a slightly lower budget card.

TheNvidia RTX 2060 12 GB GPUwas already rumored earlier this year, and given that it’s a product which will not able to go up against the likes of the 3090, or any other high-end equivalent, it’s possible this re-release could offer a slightly cheaper option. With no Founders Edition, prices for other versions will likely be higher based on higher margins from board companies being able to set their own price. The RTX 2060 FE would come straight from Nvidia itself, but with that now not happening, customers will have to opt for a partner card instead.
Of course, there will be some PC enthusiasts and gamers out there who are not looking for something low-mid range for their set-ups. Luckily for them, it’s possible thatNvidia may be getting ready to launch the 3090 Ti, a somewhat boosted iteration of its 3090, which is considered one of the most powerful graphics cards on the current market. However, this is not definite, but it wouldn’t be surprising for the company to release one last Ti variation before moving into the next generation of GPU tech.
Yes, on top of the re-launch of the 2060 with 12 GB, as well as a possible 3090 Ti, and a new RTX 3050 coming as well,Nvidia may also be prepping for its 4000 series, which will represent the next step in graphics hardware. It seems as though the company is trying to cover as many angles as possible, from high-end, to more budget, to looking towards the future. In any case,Nvidiaseems to have big plans.
