The basic form of Conqueror’s Haki was introduced in One Piece before the timeskip. In fact,the very first usage of Conqueror’s Hakicame in the very first arc of One Piece, the Romance Dawn Arc. There, Shanks used this ability to intimidate one of the Sea Kings, the lord of the coast, who took his arm. This was an incredibly important moment that fans at the time did not pay much attention to. Later down the line, fans saw more instances of Conqueror’s Haki being used. For example, when Shanks clashed with Whitebeard, Conqueror’s Haki was put on display once again. After that, Luffy utilized it unknowingly on a couple of occasions, such as on his way to Sabaody Archipelago, on Amazon Lily, and even during the Paramount War. It was only after all these events that fans found out what Conqueror’s Haki truly was.

When Rayleigh took Luffy to train under him, he explained the basics of this power to him. Conqueror’s Haki, as mentioned earlier, is not an ability that everyone can tap into, like the other two types of Haki. This one power is something that only a few are blessed with upon birth. Those who are born with it can then go on to either awaken it, or have it latent inside of them. This power is specifically among those with kingly ambitions, or those who come from a bloodline of Conqueror’s. This type of Haki is certainly incredible, which is why it is so rare.
The basic form of Conqueror’s Haki simply allows one to intimidate their opponents. Essentially, Conqueror’s Haki allows one to impose their willpower on others, and either intimidate them, or cause them to completely pass out, depending on how great the difference in strength and skill is between them. Conqueror’s Haki can also be used to tame beasts. For instance, Luffy was able to make Motobaro pass out in the Sabaody Archipelago arc. After the timeskip, Luffy tamed Tsurume with the power of his Conqueror’s Haki, and that was certainly an exciting showing of this power. A skilled user of Conqueror’s Haki can choose who gets affected by their power and who doesn’t. This means that not everyone in the user’s surroundings will pass out when this power is utilized and it all depends on who uses it, and how.
Conqueror’s Haki Infusion – The Pinnacle Of The Supreme King
The Ability To Infuse Conqueror’s Haki Is Rare
Whilethe basic form of Conqueror’s Hakiis certainly special, it is the advanced form of it that truly makes it an incredible weapon in combat. Just like Armament Haki, Conqueror’s Haki can be infused. This simply means that one can coat their entire body with Conqueror’s Haki and use it for both offensive and defensive purposes. At the same time, any weapons that a user is carrying can also be infused with Conqueror’s Haki, and this is what makes Conqueror’s Haki special. The very first instance of Conqueror’s Haki Infusion in the story came in the Wano Country arc, where Kaido used Thunder Bagua to knock out Luffy in a single hit. Even though Luffy had a 1.5 billion berry bounty at that time and had just defeated Katakuri, he was taken down in a single hit from Kaido, and that certainly goes to show how strong this attack was.

Much later, on the rooftop of Onigashima, Luffy faced a powerful Ragnaraku, which knocked him out once again, and later down the line, several other Conqueror’s Haki attacks that did something similar to him, with one even going as far as killing him. This just goes to show that the attack potency of Conqueror’s Haki attacks is just way too high. Luffy tapped into the power of Conqueror’s Haki for the very first time in One Piece chapter 1010, and he was able to level the playfield with Kaido here. His usage of Conqueror’s Haki was still very rough, however. This is why he ended up losing to him again, and he needed to improve his Haki greatly over the upcoming chapters.
Apart from Kaido and Luffy, there are many powerful individuals who can utilize Conqueror’s Haki Infusion. Zoro is another character who awakened the power of Conqueror’s Haki Infusion in the Wano Country arc, thanks to Enma. His control over this power is not great at all, however.Big Mom, another one of the Emperors, has this skill as well and she is certainly a good user, however, she underutilized this power greatly. Shanks is quite easily the strongest user of this power that is alive in the story right now, and there is absolutely no one capable of utilizing Conqueror’s Haki Infusion on the same level as him. Apart from these characters, there are also many other individuals with the tremendous power of Conqueror’s Haki Infusion.
Observation Killing – Shanks’s Secret Weapon
Observation Killing is a rare subtype of Conqueror’s Haki. In fact, this power is so rare that only Shanks is known to be its confirmed wielder. This ability is just as the name implies. It allows the user to kill the Observation Haki of their enemies by utilizing their own Conqueror’s Haki. This power puts Shanks on a completely different level from all the other fighters in the One Piece world and just strengthens his case even further as the strongest pirate alive right now. How exactly Shanks does it is unknown and whether or not this power workson just Future Sightor both Future Sight and regular Observation Haki is also unknown. What fans know is that Shanks is the only character capable of killing the Observation Haki of his enemies, and that, when coupled with the fact that he has his own version of advanced Haki of all three types puts him on a completely different level.
Shanks might not have a devil fruit, but, by mastering Conqueror’s Haki, he has reached an incredibly high level in the One Piece world. It is safe to say that Shanks has fulfilled the potential he had as Roger’s successor, and has achieved a similar level to him. He is Luffy’s idol and his final test, after all, and it is not a surprise to any fan that he is the strongest right now.
