Summary
Pocketpair has recently apologized toPalworldplayers for inadvertently fixing a popular bug that previously allowed them to capture Tower Bosses. While the update 0.1.5.0 fixed several bugs and improved the game’s stability, this change upset severalPalworldfans who loved the exploit.
Palworldwas released in early access last month. Less than a week after that, the first cases ofPalworldplayers capturing the bosses Zoe and Grizzboltwere already appearing online. While this was undoubtedly a bug, capturing Tower Bosses quickly turned into something that many gamers saw as an achievement rather than an issue.

Now,Palworld’s developer Pocketpair has posted a public apology on social media for inadvertently fixing the Tower Boss bug with the new update 0.1.5.0. While there’s a fairly good chance that the comment was sarcastic, at least players can still keep the Tower Bosses they have already captured, as the fix only prevents them from catching new ones. Despite the public apology,Palworldplayers should not get their hopes up, though, as it’s unlikely that Pocketpair will go back on fixing the glitch.
Palworld’s Patch 0.1.5.0 Has Been Controversial Among Fans
Unfortunately, this was not the only controversy sparked by the update. Players have also complained thatPalworld’s new update changed how Pal breeding works. Before now, it was possible to get rid of negative passive traits by cross-breeding Pals. However, some fixed negative traits are passed down to new generations now. This sparked such an outrage in the community that Pocketpair responded on their Discord servers that this change would be rolled back soon.
Despite the controversial changes,Palworld’s patch 0.1.5.0still fixes more bad things than it breaks the good ones. The patch fixed several glitches, improved the game’s performance, and enhanced balance. Also, it introduced a useful feature that implemented backup saves to help in cases of players losing corrupted data.
Pocketpair may still be busy fixing the many bugs thatPalworldstill has, but the developer has already given its fanbase a glimpse of the future. As the game moves towards its still distant 1.0 release, Pocketpair has already detaileda road map forPalworld. After bug squashing is done, gamers can expect to see new content such as more islands, Pals, and bosses. PvP was also promised, and Pocketpair intends to implement a Pal Arena for gamers to pit their creatures against each other. At the moment, however, it’s unclear when these additions will be available.
