How to Get Twilight Fragments
Only a few hours intoPersona 3 Reload, you will acquire your first Twilight Fragment. When you are going to bed on 4/18, you will trigger a cutscene where you find a glowing object on your bed. This is how you get your first Twilight Fragment.
After you find that Twilight Fragment, you won’t encounter any other ones until you’vestarted exploring Tartarus. After that, Twilight Fragments will start appearing all over the place when it isn’t during the Dark Hour. As you increase your social stats or unlock new social links, you may get Twilight Fragments as a reward from Elizabeth as well. Once you have reached Floor 70+ of Tartarus, you will occasionally get Twilight Fragments from destroying the crystal-like hand structures scattered around the floors.

In order to find a Twilight Fragment, keep an eye out for any glowing blue spots on the ground. Whether you are studying at Gekkoukan High School or exploring the city, you’ll find Twilight Fragments all over the place. There are 17 areas in total where you can gather Twilight Fragments, and they are as follows:

How to Use Twilight Fragments
Early on into exploration of Tartarus, you will encounter a strange white treasure chest. When you approach it, the Twilight Fragment you got on 4/18 will react to it.You can use the Twilight Fragment to unlock the white chest. While the first chest you encounter only requires one Twilight Fragment, there are ones later on that will cost two or more. In one case, there were two white chests found on Floor 17 that were right next to each other.
One cost two Twilight Fragments while the other cost three. Typically, the more Twilight Fragments required to open it, the better the loot is. For example, a chest that required one Twilight Fragment rewarded two Snuff Souls, while another chest that required two Twilight Fragments contained armor.

Beyond chests, Twilight Fragments can also be used to activate the clock in the entrance hallof Tartarus. While this costs seven Twilight Fragments to activate, it fully restores your HP and SP. As you stock up on Twilight Fragments, it becomes important to decide when you should open a chest or when you should just save them and use them to heal your party. If you spend 50 Twilight Fragments, you will alsounlock an achievement/trophyas well.
