APokemon Scarlet and Violetfan has created a ceramic Diglett sculpture. The sculpture is modeled after a popular critter that has appeared in numerous games in the franchise over the years, includingPokemon ScarletandViolet.
Diglett has existed in thePokemongames since the very first generation. It resembles a mole and always appears with soil surrounding its base as if it has only just emerged from the earth after a productive burrowing session and now wants to breathe some fresh air for a change (although aPokemon ScarletandVioletglitch reveals Diglettmay operate differently than once imagined). The other defining feature is its bulbous pink nose. Trainers can evolve it from a single entity into a three-headed Dugtrio by leveling it up sufficiently, but it forever remains an affable curiosity rather than a critical part of anyPokemonhit squad.

A Reddit user named Month_Double posted a photo to thePokemonsubreddit to show off a Diglett they created in a ceramics class. Such a project might seem simple enough, given the Diglett’s basic shape, but the ceramic sculpture does a commendable job of capturing the essence of its subject by incorporating varied earthy tones along with the familiar pink blob of a nose and inquisitive vertical eyes. A nice glaze keeps everything protected, which might allow the hand-crafted Diglett to safely hang out in a leafy garden with the local gnomes if it tires of a rockier environment. The critter seems to show up everywhere (one fan even foundchairs on a bus that looked like Diglett).Click here to see the full Reddit post.
Craft projects related toPokemonare nothing new, but their variety continues to impress. Recently, anotherPokemonfan created a poseable Ninetales doll, for instance. Others have created statues from various materials, and each new entry in the series seems to inspire a fresh wave of creative projects.
Fans who would like to make a mark in variousPokemoncommunities don’t have to limit their creative efforts to just crafts and artwork, either. Using other software such asMinecraft, players can create large-scale models of their favorite critters from Paldea and other regions. Last year, aPokemonfan made a recreation of Rayquaza inMinecraft, while another recreated the Goldenrod City environment originally featured inPokemon GoldandSilver. Regardless of the medium, it’s clear there is still a lot of room to try new and exciting things within thePokemonuniverse, as well as here in a real world that otherwise would have to exist without the lovable critters.
