Niantic confirms the newPokemon GOVerdant Wonders event will last from Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, July 30, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time, with the paid “Rogue of the Jungle” Special Research story being available during that short window. Tickets for the Special Research will be available for $7.99 each, granting access to an encounter with Zarude after completing the Special Research story. While progressing the Special Research, players may earn two Premium Battle Passes, six Silver Pinap Berries, Five Rare Candies, an Incense, and additional encounters with Dark-type andGrass-type Pokemon inPokemon GO.

Pokemon GO Verdant Wonders Brings New Paid Special Research

Incense will be more potent during the Verdant Wonders event, enabling encounters with Panpour, Pansage, Pansear, Cutiefly, Zorua, and a special Cottonee with a flower crown. The use of Incense may also bring encounters with Blue Flower, Red Flower, Yellow Flower, White Flower, and Orange Flower variants of Flabébé.

During Verdant Wonders, several Pokemon will appear more frequently in the wild, regardless of the region the player is located in. These Pokemon include Bulbasaur, Oddish, Tangela, Hoppip, Poochyena, Nuzleaf, and Shroomish.Pokemon GOplayers will have access to Verdant Wonders-themed Field Research tasks. Completing these tasks grants encounters with Vulpix, Poliwag, Marill, Slugma, and many other Pokemon. Players may need to make frequent trips tolocal PokeStops inPokemon GOsince many Pokemon will be roaming the wild during the event.

AlthoughPokemon GOplayers must pay for a ticket for access to the Special Research story, the Verdant Flowers event offers a wide variety of Pokemon to collect. Collecting these Pokemon aids toward completion of the event’s Collection Challenge, which offers extra rewards like XP, Stardust, and special Cottonee encounters. The event-themed Pokemon can be useful inPokemon GOPokeStop Showcasesas well since players can continue to accrue rewards.
