The Pokemon for February 2023Pokemon GOCommunity Day has already been selected by The Pokemon Company and Niantic, and it’s none other than Noibat. The upcomingPokemon GOCommunity Day event will shine the spotlight on the Flying/Dragon type Pokemon with increased rewards for a limited time.
Every month,Pokemon GOCommunity Dayfeatures a popular Pokemon with boosted appearance rates and an exclusive Charged Attack move for their final evolution. Additionally, players have a greater chance of encountering a Shiny variant of the selected Pokemon during the monthly Community Day event. During the event period, several bonuses are active including increased Stardust rewards, catch XP rewards, and lure module effectiveness. As a result, Community Day is one of the most active events to take place inPokemon GOevery month, so players are encouraged to participate for extra rewards and Shiny Pokemon.

Niantic revealed Noibat and its evolution, Noivern, were selected as the featured Pokemon for February 2023Pokemon GOCommunity Day event starting on February 5 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time. Noibat will appear more frequently during the 3-hour event duration, and the Abundant Noise Special Research item will be available for $1.Pokemon GOplayers who purchase and use the Abundant Noise item will see Noibat appear even more often due to an additional appearance rate increase. Noibats that evolve into Noivern on February 5 will learn the special Boomburst Charged Attack as an added bonus for participating on Community Day.
Fortunately, players will still be able to catch Noibat after the initial 3-hour event concludes. From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. local time, Bonus Battle Raids allowPokemon GOplayers to battle Noibats and increase appearance rates for the Pokemon upon their raid victory. Every victory increases Noibat encounters for 30 minutes, sofree-to-playPokemon GOplayersare incentivized to grind raid battles on Community Day.
Previously,Pokemon GO’sJanuary 2023 Community Dayevent featured Chespin, the Spiny Nut Pokemon. Before the February 5 Community Day event begins,Pokemon GOwill host the Community Day Classic event on January 21 featuring Larvitar. The first month of 2023 already appears to be a busy time forPokemon GOplayers around the world.
Pokemon GOcontinues to be a popular gamein 2023 with major in-game events planned throughout the year. Those wanting to travel with their Pokemon may look forward to the Pokemon GO Tour: Hoenn two-day event in Las Vegas, Nevada next month. The event will be held on February 18 and 19 with tickets starting at $30 in the officialPokemon GOwebsite.
