Thankfully, players have already discovered an oversight inPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s The Teal Mask DLCthat allows them to accrue a limitless amount of money without really doing anything. A post on Reddit from the user KDavies1327 explains how this is possible, with a new item known as the Syrupy Apple being the key to this absurd moneymaking scheme. The Syrupy Apple is an item that can be given to the Pokemon Applin in order to evolve into Dipplin, a new evolutionary form introduced with The Teal Mask DLC - but perhaps more important than its actual use is the fact that it can be sold for 50 Pokedollars more than it can be bought for, which means that players can start printing money just by reselling these items.
This simple exploit certainly makes it easier for fans who want to catch their Pokemon in rare balls such as Love Balls or Dream Balls, which are each sold for very high prices at the market in Porto Marinada for whatever reason. At least players don’t have to worry about their prices going up further, as, despite several other economy-shattering exploits throughout the history of thePokemongames, fans have identified that thePokemonworld’s financial system is still somehow immune to inflation.
It’s likely only a matter of time beforea patch forPokemon Scarlet and Violetcomes around to fix this exploit and restore balance to the free market of thePokemonworld. With this in mind, fans who wish to take advantage of this will want to be quick about it.
