It’s basically open season onPokemon Scarlet and Violetleaks, with there being a ton scattered across all corners of the internet. Some of these come from reliable sources, like Riddler Khu who is a well-known leaker in thePokemon Scarlet and Violetcommunity, but some also come from unreliable sources. In other words, until confirmed by Game Freak, fans should take all information with a healthy grain of salt.

However, a recent leak has seemingly been reinforced by Khu. There have been rumors of a newGhost Pokemon inPokemon Scarlet and Violetthat is based on a coin. This has led to a lot of speculation that it is a Ghost/Steel type, and it could be that it somehow relates to piracy. Rumors and speculation aside though, all fans know is a coin Ghost Pokemon possibly exists in the new games, but Khu has added an important detail for any interested fans.

For those planning on using the Coin Pokemon in the upcoming games, Khu says that it’shard to get like Spiritomb inPokemon Legends: Arceus. Spiritomb has always been difficult to get, as players inDiamond and Pearlhad to use the Odd Keystone in the right place and talk to 32 unique characters in the Underground. ComePokemon Legends: Arceusthough, this was even harder as players had to begin a quest and collect 107 wisps that were scattered throughout the Hisui region. In other words, it sounds like fans will likely need to explore the Paldea region in its entirety, or near it, to obtain this new Ghost Pokemon.

While that unique quality will likely make the Pokemon more coveted, that doesn’t mean it’s harder to get for those planning to use it on their team. It should be noted thatPokemon Scarlet and Violetare open-world gamesand nonlinear in design, but that doesn’t make getting these easier if certain areas have stronger Pokemon.

It does remain to be seen how this actually works inPokemon Scarlet and Violet, and it doesn’t sound impossible to obtain for a team, just hard to get. Of course, these are important factors inPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers who want to plan their team out, and the fact that so little information regarding new Pokemon, new forms, and the like is out currently makes this basically impossible. Game Freak and The Pokemon Company will hopefully confirm more relatively soon.
