In preparation for difficult Tera Raids inPokemon Scarlet & Violet, such asthe upcoming Tera Charizard Event, players need a powerful Pokemon of their own in order to combat such a deadly threat. Luckily, it is easy to obtain anAzumarilland teach it the moveBelly Drumthat will allow it to dominate such raids.
Belly Drum Azumarill: Breeding Method
InPokemon Scarlet and Violet, there are two ways to obtain an Azumarill with the move Belly Drum. The first is a slow but cheap method or a fast but expensive method.
The first method is the most time-consuming but does not cost much in the way of Pokedollars to the player, andthat is breeding an Azurill with Belly Drum.

The first step players should take is to catch a male Zangoose located around the South Province of the Paldea Region.
Though a bit rare to find, if players persevere, they will eventually come across the Cat Ferret Pokemon. Once a male Zangoose is in the players' party, they will need to go to its summary and cause it toremember the move Belly Drumso that players can pass the move onto the second Pokemon they need to catch.
The second step players should take is to catch a female Eiscue,located along the northern shoreline inPokemon Violet. For players playingPokemon Scarlet, an Eiscue can be obtained through trading with another player playingPokemon Violet.
Once players have both of these Pokemon, the third step is toplace them in their party,place all other Pokemon in their boxes, and then go on a picnic with the little critters. The objective is tobreed a male Eiscue that knows the move Belly Drum, which will beinherited from the Zangoose. To accomplish this, while both the Zangoose and Eiscue are in the party, playersshould make a sandwich at their picnic table, choosing to make a Jam Sandwich or any other sandwich that gives the Egg Power boost.
Once the sandwich has been made and the Pokemon fed, it is a simple matter of letting them play for a bit, occasionally checking on the basket by the picnic table for Eggs. Once players have obtained an Egg or two, they need to hatch it.
This means walking or riding around a certain number of steps until the egg hatches. Players can speed up the hatching of their eggs by placing a Pokemon with the Flame Body, Magma Armor, or Steam Engine abilities in their party alongside the eggs to warm them up.
After players have done this, they need to continue to hatch Eiscue eggs until they successfully hatch a male Eiscue that has inherited Belly Drum. Once players have a male Eiscue, they should then proceed to step four, which is to catch a female Azurill, Marill, or Azumarill. Azurill and Marill can be located in the earliest areas in the game around Mesagoza.
Once players have done this, they simply need to repeat step three, breeding their male Eiscue which now knows Belly Drum, with their female Azurill, Marill, or Azumarill until they successfully hatch an Azurill that also knows Belly Drum. From there, players canevolve their Azurill into a Marill through friendshipand then from a Marill to an Azumarill through leveling. Players will be ready to combat any Dragon or Fire Tera Raids with their new Water/Fairy-type powerhouse.
Belly Drum Azumarill: Mirror Herb Method
The second method players can use is much faster than breeding if they have the cash. The first step is to acquire aHariyama, foundall over the Paldea Region, for its move Belly Drum. Players can see its locations in the image below:
The second step players should take is to acquire an Azumarill by catching and evolving a Marill or heading up to the north of Paldea around Casseroya Lake.
Once these two Pokemon have been caught, players should make sure their Hariyama knows Belly Drum by causing it to remember the move if it does not currently have it. Players should also cause Azumarill to forget one of its moves, so it has a blank move slot.
After players have done this,they should head to Cascarrafa. Once there, players should head to the Delibird Presents shop on the eastern side of the town and enter the shop, choosing battle items when prompted.
Players should then buy the Mirror Herb,costing them 30,000 Pokedollars, and give it to their Azumarill to hold. Once this is done, it is time for a picnic. Players should remove all Pokemon from their party except Hariyama and Azumarill and set up the picnic.
After letting the Pokemon wander and play for a bit before ending the picnic, players can check their Azumarill and see that Belly Drum has taken the place of the empty move slot they made earlier.
This also does not consume the Mirror Herb, so players can repeat this method as often as they like. Players should remember to remove the Mirror Herb from their Pokemon if they wish to continuetransferring egg moves this way, as the Herb can be used in battle accidentally.
Once this is done, players will have the tools they need to take on difficult Dragon-type Raids inPokemon Scarlet & Violet, as they will have a bulky Pokemon that can now also dish out all kinds of damage, which will aid them inall the Tera Raids to come.
