Unova region’s beloved water-type starter, Oshawott, along with its evolutions has arrived as part of the long list ofnew and returning PokemoninPokemon Scarlet & Violet’s Indigo Disk DLC.
Samurott also received a Hisuian form inPokemon Legends: Arceus, adding Dark-type to its type matchup and also giving it a signature move, Ceaseless Edge. While Hisuian Samurott is not available inPokemon Scarlet & Violet, players can still get the original Unova form, thanks to theIndigo Disk DLC. How To Unlock Oshawott
Oshawott, just like the likes of Chimchar and Piplup, can be unlocked via the BB League Club Room’s support board. Players need to head to the PC in the room to access the support board and then contribute a hefty 3,000 BP to boost the Polar Biome’s diversity. This will ensure that Oshawott and other starters start spawning in the biome. To get therequired amount of BP fast, players can do group quests via Union Circles, which will help them unlock gold quests, awarding a hefty amount of BP.
Oshawott Location In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Oshawott is found in the Polar Biome in theIndigo Disk DLC, which is in the northwestern part of the Terrarium. While Oshawott is found all across the northern part of the Polar Biome, a really good location for finding it is in the waters right at the center of the Polar Biome. Considering this is a starter, it doesn’t spawn as often as some other Pokemon, but players shouldn’t have much trouble finding one if they search the waters thoroughly.
The good news is that even if players fail to catch Oshawott on their first attempt, they should be able to find another oneas it is not a legendary.That being said, it can still be a bit tricky to catch them, so players should try whittling down their HP and thenputting the Pokemon to sleep or paralyzing it to maximize their chances.
How To Evolve Oshawott to Dewott & Samurott
Oshawott evolves into Dewott at level 17 and into Samurott at level 36. Both Dewott and Samurott are not available in the wild in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, so players need to rely on evolutions to get them. Since the Piplup found in the area is of a much higher level, players can evolve it to Samurott by leveling up twice.
The best Tera types for Piplup are Water and Grass. Water tera type can be a really good option for players who arelooking for a really strong Water-type, thanks to the combined STAB and tera effect. Otherwise, Dragon and Grass tera-types offer pretty good weakness protection for the Pokemon. The best nature for Oshawott is Adamant which boosts its attack at the cost of Special Attack.
