Today’s the day that online game developers have decided to share their holiday plans and Rockstar’s taking part with new information about what’s coming toRed Dead Online.Red Dead Redemption 2’s online component and all of its players will receive plenty of gifts to close out 2019.
The snow arrives inRed Dead Onlinestarting as soon as tomorrow, December 20. And with it comes the holiday season. Limited-time holiday decorations will be found at players' camps and theMoonshining Shack, including a Christmas tree with candles. Saloons will also begin playing holiday tunes to keep travelers in the festive spirit. Rockstar also warns that “heavier snowfall” may also be coming to the five states, though what that implies is forRed Dead Onlineplayers to discover themselves.

Red Dead Online’s holiday event isn’t just a snowy veneer, however. There are changes coming to various features and gameplay, too. “Festive variations” ofGun Rush, Make it Count, and Last Stand will be available to players, with the limited-time modes available through January 6. Spoils of War, Up in Smoke, and Overrun will also have “snow-dusted versions” implemented, which at the least should certainly change each mode’s atmosphere.
Participation will also be rewarded during the holiday season.Red Dead Onlineplayerswho log into the game between December 23 and 25 will receive an impressive holiday Gift Chest. The Chest is full of candy, brandy, tonics, and an assortment of holiday snacks. It also includes the Krampus Double Barrel Shotgun variant to add some spice to players' cider. If that isn’t enough, New Years' celebrants can log in between December 31 and January 6 and receive 1000XP for all four specialist roles - Moonshiner, Bounty Hunter, Trader, and Collector.
A variety of discounts and bonuses are also being made available forRed Dead Online’s celebration. For example, there’s a pre-existing login bonus for those who jump into the game between December 13 and January 6 that includes 3K Club XP, $200 and other free in-game coupons. Ongoing sales include the Butcher’s Table in-game being discounted 5 Gold Bars, the Medium Delivery Wagon being 25% off, and 25% off both theBounty Hunter Schofield Revolverand the Collector Lancaster Repeater, too.
