The short but sweetResident Evil 3Remaketakes players on quite the journey, though as they blast zombies, avoid Nemesis, and explore the Raccoon City streets, players will eventually need to find a pair of bolt cutters to advance further. However, they can be fairly difficult to discover, asResident Evil 3features quite a few open areas where they could be hiding.
The bolt cutters will help players get through an early portion of the game, but can be discarded before too long, freeing up some precious inventory space. They won’t open up every lock, as players will also need the lockpick toopen yellow locksscattered around, but the bolt cutters will cut just about anything with a chain.

Where to Find the Bolt Cutters
The bolt cutters are located in a garage just after Jill uses the firehose to put out the flames in the alley, just down the street from the toy store and to the right. After putting out the flames, proceed forward through the alley. The door to the garage will be marked by a sign that says “Repair” with a cartoon mechanic next to it.
Proceed inside. On the back wall, the bolt cutters will be hanging next to several other tools. It may be wise to double back and open some of the spaces that were inaccessible without the bolt cutters, as proceeding too much further in the story will hinder the ability to do so. The most important item isthe shotgun, which is located all the way back in the subway service station.
With the bolt cutters and shotgun, players should have a much easier time trying tokill nemesis. Luckily, the bolt cutters are pretty much impossible to miss for players that are moving through the story, so finding them should be relatively easy. Of course, the game doesn’t make it clear where they are in the beginning, so it makes sense that players need extra help finding them.
Resident Evil 3reviews have been fairly mixed, though many believe thatRE3isn’t a bad remake, so it may be worth diving into– even if it isn’t as terrifying as theResident Evil 2 Remakeof last year.
