Recent rumors suggest thatCall of Duty Mobileseason 9 may be World War 2 themed, and there is actually some pretty solid evidence backing it up. One of the prime pieces of evidence which support this is the new test server that players have access to, which suggests aWorld War 2 themed Shipment mapwill be coming to the mobile game at some point in the near future.

Fans know that Season 9 is coming, as there isn’t much time left in Season 8, butCall of Duty Mobilehas stayed quiet regarding what the theme of that season will be. The most recent season focused on apocalyptic subjects, but nothing about the next one has been said.

If the rumors are true, season 9 will be called Conquest, and will featureWorld War 2 characters, maps, and items. This includes the potential introduction of the Kar98K inCall of Dutymobile, but fans should remember that these are all just rumors.

The leak uses theintroduction of the Shipment mapas its main evidence for season 9 focusing on World War 2, and while this would hold up, this could be a case of a fake leaker reverse engineering a believable story. Nevertheless, if this leak does turn out to be legit, then fans have a lot to be excited about in terms of potential content. The season is said to be bringing four new characters, those being Lev Kravchenko, Viktor Reznov, Edward Richtofen, and Nikto in addition to other new items and stages.

Of course, Activision has made no official announcement on this, so it would be best for fans not to get their hopes up too much lest they wind up disappointed. Season 8 is quickly coming to a close though, so unless Activision plans on keeping the theme of the next season a surprise until launch date, fans can expect to hear something soon. Perhaps one of the best places to find this news as soon as it arrives is onActivision’s weeklyCall of Dutybriefing, the next installment of which should be coming up soon.

There is a general fondness for World War 2 era game settings, so more likely than not fans would be satisfied if this did end up being the case. With that said, there is still a ton ofunexplored territory whichCall of Duty Mobilecould venture into, so it is best to keep an open mind and wait for the actual news.
