The GPU battle continues on as bothNvidiaand AMD prepare to leap into the next graphics hardware generation. In response to 3DCenter on Twitter, the industry leaker has said that there’s been confirmation that the 4090 will release, followed by the 4080, and then the 4070. WithNvidia looking to reveal the RTX 40-series this summer, possibly in July, it’s very likely that the firm will make some sort of announcement soon, which may or may not confirm the details of the GPU release schedule.
Nvidia is also getting ready to launch the GTX 1650, a card that’s based on the Turing architecture from the previous generation, so there’s a sense that team green wishes to get as much mileage out of this current era as it can. While GPU prices are continuing to come down, there is still the matter of the chip shortages, which might be ongoing until 2024. With that in mind, there could still be supply issues when Ada and team red’s offerings do become available.
Nvidia also has to fight back againstAMD which is looking to decimate the competition with RDNA 3. Both companies have been at loggerheads for some time now, so there’ll be a lot of scrambling for the top once the next generation emerges.
