ASkyrimfan has completed a playthrough of the game while role-playing as a Sith Lord. Over the years, players have completed many unique playthroughs of the game, with oneSkyrimfaneven role-playing as a city guardin Solitude.
SinceSkyrim’s release in 2011, it has become known as one of the most versatile games in how gamers can choose to replay it. Therole-playing potential inSkyrimis enormous and it is one of the biggest reasons that many players still choose to play Bethesda’s title over more modern RPGs. At this point, it’s rare to find a role-play idea that hasn’t been completed by someone else online, but there are definitely ideas out there than can provide a freshSkyrimexperience for most players.

The playthrough comes from YouTuber Nerbit, who completedSkyrimas Sith Lord Emperor Palpatine fromStar Wars. The player uses the mod “Skyrim Wars” to turn the Stormcloaks into Jedi, and the Imperials into Stormtroopers. Nerbit dresses in dark robes that resemble Palpatine and limits himself to the Sparks spell to recreate Force Lightning. The completion of the run had two conditions - finishing both the Civil War questline and themain quest inSkyrim. Appropriately, Nerbit sides with the Imperials during the Civil War and eventually completes the main quest while playing as evil as possible.
Nerbit has a great history of completing Bethesda challenge runs on YouTube, withSkyriman essential part of that. In the past, he has played the game as the antithesis to his Palpatine run, managing to complete Skyrim while playing as Obi-Wan Kenobi. It’s unknown what challenge Nerbit plans to complete next, although it’s something that fans of Bethesda RPGs should definitely keep an eye on.
Despite the longevity ofSkyrim, players can only play through the same game so many times before a refresh is needed. There are plenty ofamazingSkyrimmodsthat add a huge amount of new content to the game, including some that add new lands to explore. Unfortunately, mods on a larger scale are much harder to come by due to the effort required to get them released. Now would be a great time for Bethesda to start talking Elder Scrolls 6, as it approaches five years since its initial announcement. However, withStarfieldnot slated for release until September 2023, it could be some time before any concrete details about the sequel begin to emerge.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
