Marvel’s Spider-Man Remasteredwill take advantage of all of the same PlayStation 5 features asSpider-Man: Miles Morales. This means that along with having better graphics, the game will also have an optional Performance Mode, which will allow players to crank up its fps from 30 frames to 60.

The public got to see the Performance Mode in action with theSpider-Man: Miles Moralesdemo trailerthat took place during the September 2020 PS5 showcase, and now, as of today, they get to see it applied to the upcomingSpider-Manremaster. Insomniac said that it would be giving players a glimpse ofSpider-Man Remasteredbefore its release, and it’s come sooner than expected.

Sony gave players their veryfirst look atSpider-Man Remasteredover on its official YouTube channel. The footage is about a minute’s length of gameplay running at 60 frames-per-second, and it sees Peter swinging around the city and taking on several of the Kingpin’s goons at one of their phony construction sites. This footage allows players to physically see what they can expect to get from the upcoming title, something they didn’t have previously.

It’s important to reiterate that this Performance Mode is optional. Fans will be able to choose whether they want the game to run in 60 fps or not. ThePerformance Mode inSpider-Man: Miles Moralesalso allows players to pick the game’s resolution, soSpider-Man Remastered’s Performance Mode will likely have the same option.

Overall, the exact extent of what Performance Mode can do remains to be seen. It may allow players to choose other visual options aside from switching on 4K resolution and picking between 30 and 60fps, but Insomniac Games hasn’t divulged any such details as of this writing. There’s still time for the developer to release more information on it before the game arrives, though.

Marvel’sSpider-Man: Remasteredonly comes bundled withSpider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition, which costs 70 USD. There are no plans for it to be a standalone title, and none of the save data players have for the original Spider-Man PS4 will be transferable — this includes trophies.

Hopefully, this new footage helps buyers decide whether they want to pay for the game. SinceSpider-Man: Remasteredis built likeMiles Morales, it will also have near-instant loading and 3D audio to go along with its Performance Mode. It will take advantage of the DualSense controller’s Haptic Feedback, too, and it will come withthree new Spider-Man suitsfor players to choose from.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remasteredlaunches November 12, for PS4 and PS5.
