Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s Twitter account revealed a funny stat about Rick the Door Technician’s combat prowess.Star Wars Jedi: Survivorwas plagued with a number of debilitating bugs upon release that rendered the game unplayable for some players across all platforms, especially PC. After a series of patches, however, players have reported a much more stable experience.

Star Wars: Jedi Survivorleans into humor much more than its predecessor,Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. From overly confident Battle Droids to various hysterical bits of idle chatter Cal Kestis overhears throughout his adventure. Evensome ofSurvivor’sglitches were pretty funny. But there was one joke that was a clear-cut winner above the rest, and it was a boss fight of all things.

Rick the Door Technician is a Stormtrooper who believes he is a formidable foe. He is, of course, a complete pushover. Rick can be found on Nova Garon, an imperial satellite station. Once the player navigates Cal through a series of locked doors as he traverses deeper into the belly of the Imperial stronghold, a dramatic musical sting will play signifyingthe arrival of one ofStar Wars Jedi: Survivor’s challenging bosses. And then, at the end of a long corridor comes Rick the Door Technician, a scrappy Storm Trooper who vows to kill Cal. But Rick is, quite literally, a joke. Most players can easily dispatch him in any number of ways in a matter of seconds. The key word there is “most,” because according to a tweet from the official EA Star Wars account, there actually are some players who were defeated by Rick the Door Technician.

The tweet provides a statistical breakdown of the gameplay experience of the overallStar Wars Jedi: Survivorcommunity. For instance, 52.5% of players chose to play on the Jedi Knight difficulty level. Themost popular lightsaber colorwas white. It also states that 489 players were defeated by Rick the Door Technician, a character who is supposed to be a joke.

It’s perfectly understandable thatthe Rancor boss fight inSurvivorclaimed the lives of over 9 million players. It’s the third boss in the game. Players are just beginning to familiarize themselves with the nuances of the combat system. The same cannot be said for Rick the Door Technician. Players encounter Rick about halfway through the game, meaning they should be a highly powered Jedi who has survived some gnarly bouts by this point. And yet, nearly 500 players were felled by the Stormtrooper with a lot of heart but very little in the way of combat skill. Thanks to a small contingent of players out there, there are some alternate universe versions ofStar Wars Jedi: Survivorwhere Rick the Door Technician is the hero of the Empire.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivoris available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
