Although players are not required to give any villagers gifts to raise their heart level, giving them items that they love would significantly boost their affection towards the player. Heart Events
The level of closeness the players have to Abigailis represented by heart levels. Reaching a certain heart level would trigger an event that would let players know more about her and her real personality that she doesn’t often show with the rest of the villagers of Pelican Town.
What Happens After You Marry Abigail
Similar to other bachelors and bachelorettes, players would first need to reach a heart level of 8 with Abigail. It is worth mentioning that once players reach a heart level of 8 with any bachelor or bachelorette, the friendship level will freeze. The only way to unfreeze this is to give them a bouquet, which will be immediately available at Pierre’s the morning after a heart level of 8 is reached.
Once players reach level 10 with Abigail, they are now eligible to marry, granted that players had given her a Mermaid’s Pendant. The pendant can be purchased for 5,000 g from the Old Mariner. Once married, Abigail will proceed to move into the farmhouse and set up her own room to the bedroom’s right. She will also claim a small area behind the farmhouse where she will practice her flute.

When Abigail stays inside the farmhouse, she may offer players a Cherry Bomb, a Bomb, Fried Mushroom, or Crab Cakes. In addition, Abigail may give players Solar Essence, Bat Wing, Void Essence, Amethyst, or Fire Quartz on rainy days. Lastly, Abigail may give offer players Parsnip Soup Tom Kha Soup, Trout Soup, Chowder, or Lobster Bisque on rainy nights.
