Bethesda plans to supportStarfieldfor the long haul, and so fans can expect many more updates for the game. The nextStarfieldupdate will enter Steam Beta next week, and it will introduce “Nvidia DLSS support with frame generation, display and HDR controls for supported systems, and other optimizations and improvements.” Bethesda is looking to get player feedback on the update before it’s released to the masses across PC and Xbox Series X. What exactly Bethesda means by “other optimizations and improvements” remains to be seen, so it seems like fans will either have to opt-in to the Steam Beta next week or wait for the company to drop the official patch notes.

Starfield’s new DLSS support is only for PC users with Nvidia, but Bethesda added that AMD FSR3 support is in the pipeline and will be added in a later update. PC gamers that don’t want to wait for official DLSS support can download theStarfieldDLSS modin the meantime. Those that have held out this long might as well just wait for Bethesda to add it with the official update, though, whenever it comes.

FutureStarfieldupdates will continue addressing fan feedback and concerns about the open world sci-fi RPG, as well as prep it for the substantial new content coming as part of its paid DLC.Starfield’s first paid DLC is called Shattered Space, but details on what exactly it will entail are unavailable at the time of this writing. Bethesda has at least one moreStarfieldexpansion up its sleeve after Shattered Space, but fans will have to stay tuned for more information on that front. They can look forward to the Nvidia DLSS update in the meantime.
