There is no end ofStarfieldspeculation and deep-dives into any and all information, and a fan has recently concluded that the upcoming space-faring RPG will give players more hairstyle options thanFallout 4. Given how unbelievablysuccessfulSkyrimcontinues to be, it’s hardly surprising that many people are keen to see what Bethesda has in store for its first development project outside theElder ScrollsandFalloutseries in a long time. Unfortunately, fans still have a bit of waiting to do until all will be revealed.
After a couple of delays, with the game initially scheduled to come out in November 2022,Starfieldfinally has a release date, with it now launching on September 6. No one really knows what to expect from the studio given that it’s not a fantasy title, though the Maryland-based developer was known to branch out into science fiction in its early days, with a particular focus onTerminatoradaptations. In any case, a lot of people will be anticipating a kind ofSkyrim-in-space experience, but until it’s actually there on disc or digital storefronts, all fans can do is take educated guesses about what’s to come.

One very specific feature thatStarfieldmay have comes from the keen eye of Reddit user Harrison_Allen, who recently uploaded what looks like a close-up screenshot from the character creation menu, specifically showing the hair and eye sliders. Based on the image, the user believes that the game will have roughly 47-51 female hairstyles to choose from. Considering thatFallout 4has just 38 options, it seems thatStarfieldwill grant players more customization, though some may not be too surprised by this. PleaseStopSmoking goes one step further by saying that the hairstyles could be non-gendered, meaning the screenshot may not be referring to just female hair.
The post is also just one of many ways that fans have beenanalyzing every bit ofStarfieldinformationthat’s been released, whether it’s scouring background details or pausing the gameplay trailer and interviews frame by frame to uncover secrets. In Harrison_Allen’s thread, user averagetwenjoyer sums it up by saying that fans will not rest until “every half frame is deeply analyzed pixel by pixel.”
Given such deep analyses of the game, it’s not surprising thatStarfieldis one of the most anticipated RPGsof the year, possibly of this whole generation. Whether it will live up to the hype remains to be seen at this stage, but once it comes out, the community will no doubt be holding its breath, waiting for Bethesda to give an update onThe Elder Scrolls 6.
