Now thatStranger Thingsis heading towards its series finale fans, the actors are excited to see how things play out and that includes Maya Hawke, who has a very distinct idea about how Robin Buckley’s story will end. Hawke wants to see her character, who was introduced in season 3 ofStranger things, go out a hero.
Hawke made it clear that she knows that the final season ofStranger Thingsmeans that people are going to die. She then went on and said that she would love to see Robin endStranger Thingsseason 5by dying with honor, as any actor would like to see their character go should they have to be killed off.

“I would love to die and get my hero’s moment,” she toldRolling Stone. At the same time, Hawke said that she understood why herStranger Thingscharacter might, in fact, make it through the rest of the series. She said thatthe Duffer Brothers fall in lovewith their actors and their characters and that’s why they write so well for them. The flip side of that is apparently that the writers for the Netflix series are loath to kill off any of the characters that they’ve fallen in love with. Even if the plot might be calling for such a person to be killed off.
That doesn’t mean that everyone on the show has character armor. There’s been a lot of talk about at least one lovable character who was killed off at the end of season 4. Eddie Munson was introduced in the latest season and was subsequently killed off, dying in exactly the kind of hero’s death that Hawke is wanting for Robin. While theStranger Thingscreators said that Eddie was doomedno matter what, there are now more than a few fans who are hoping that he’ll make a return.
While the Duffer Brothers do seem to have a problem killing off characters, such as having Max remain in a coma rather than allowing her to die, it appears that once they’ve written off a character he or she is really gone. Even if the fans want Eddie back, it appears as though his return is unlikely.
Considering Robin continues to come into direct conflict with the show’s big bad, like hershowdown with Vecna, it’s possible her fate may be sealed. Perhaps Hawke is even setting up a tease for what will happen in season 5 ofStranger Things.
