Twinbrook is a world fromThe Sims 3: Ambitions. It was believed to be named after the twin rivers that flow from opposite sides of the small industrial town. Many of the residents living here are inventors and artists. There are also ghost hunters because of the number of supernatural occurrences and strange deaths happening in this town.

The Mystery of Twinbrook’s Strange Deaths

Just like any world inThe Sims, Twinbrook has a graveyard and some homes have tombstones or urns. Players can also read the lore of the residents in the town – both living and dead. But Twinbrook stands out because of its many mysteries. For one, many of the deceased Sims have pale green skin or grey skin and walk barefoot when they appear around town. This is noticeably different from Sims' usual ghost forms, which are usually monochromatic and look more wraith-like.

However, the most daunting are the many mysterious deaths in Twinbrook. The Simsis known for having strange or unresolved deaths, likeSkip Broke drowning in a swimming poolbecause of a missing ladder. However, the oddly placed tombstones of deceased Sims and the fact that one Sim died from a meteor strike were enough to getThe Simsfans' attention.

Lacy Darer and Macy Clay

Lacy Darer and Macy Clay both died in a fire as young adults. The two women were believed to be twins because of their striking resemblance to each other, but it was never confirmed. It was also unclear whether they died in the same incident. Lacy apparently died from a fire that was started by her husband, Juan Darer, in their home. It could be a kitchen orfireplace accident that’s common inThe Sims, but there weren’t further details about it. Meanwhile, there’s no information as to how Macy burned to death.

What makes this mystery more disturbing is the fact that Lacy’s tombstone is in Juan’s Pick ‘n Pull junkyard, which is believed to be owned by Juan himself. Macy, on the other hand, is buried outside the Cleanesque Laundromat. There’s no explanation why they’re buried in random lots and not in Ivy Hill Graveyard. This furthered the speculation that Juan murdered the two women.

Pixie Carlton

Another mysterious death is that of Pixie Carlton. It’s said that she simply died of electrocution, but it’s also possible that she was murdered before the events ofThe Sims 3. Pixie’s urn can be found in the Racket family’s home, placed on top of a living room drawer. The Rackets are known criminals in Twinbrook. Murder is technically not allowed inThe Sims, but players still speculate that they were involved in Pixie’s death.

The running theory is that Pixie was wealthy. Bill Racket, whose Lifetime Wish is to become a Gold Digger, allegedly killed her to get her money. Money is a common motive in a lot ofThe Simsmysteries, notably in theCaliente sisters’ involvement in Bella Goth’s disappearance. However, Sofia Carlton supposedly ended up inheriting Pixie’s fortune, which would explain her lavish lifestyle.

Steward Curious

The last notable Sim death in Twinbrook is Steward Curious, who’s buried in Ivy Hill Graveyard. He’s the only pre-made Sim who died after being struck by a meteor. Not much is known about Steward, but he’s believed to be related toThe Sims 3’sCurious familybecause of his resemblance to Marshall Curious.

This particular family, which first appeared as apre-made family inThe Sims 2, is known for seeking knowledge of various forms. Perhaps Steward died while studying the stars with his telescope.
