How to Create a Staff of Frost in Valheim?

The Staff of Frost requires materials from two ofthe most difficult biomes inValheim: the Mountain and Mistlands. Players need to bring 20 Yggdrasil Wood, 4 Freeze Glands, and 15 Refined Eitr to a Galdr Table in order to craft this new staff. This is a new crafting station that has been added through the game’s new Mistlands update.

Yggdrasil Wood can only be harvested from theYggdrasil Shoots that grow throughout the Mistlands biome. These require a Black Metal Axe to chop down and the larger the shoot, the more wood while be dropped. Freeze Glands are dropped by the dangerous Drakes that inhibit the Mountain biome. The final ingredient, Refined Eitr is produced when players combine Sap and Soft Tissue at an Eitr Refinery. Sap is produced by the Yggdrasil Roots the glow throughout the Mistlands while Soft Tissue can be found in the skulls of the Ancient Remains in the same biome.

How to Use a Staff of Frost?

This weapon is two-handed, weights just .3 units, and uses 5 Eitr per shot. At its base level, the Staff of Frost can do 30 frost damage, provides 48 Block Armor, 50 Block Force, has a 2 times multiplier for parrying, and has a knockback of 10. Holding left click will rapidly fire frost projectiles until the player runs out of Eitr.

The Staff of Frost requires that players have eaten some sort of magical food. This new value to keep track of is called Eitr and, similar to health and stamina, it can be increased by particular meals. For example, Yggdrasil Porridge (which costs 4 Sap, 3 Barley, and 2 Royal Jelly to make) adds 27 health, 13 Stamina, and 80 Eitr. That meal does require that players have at leasta level 5 Cauldron in theirValheimsave, however.

Valheimis available now for PC, and releases in early 2023 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
