With the advent of next-gen platforms such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, many game development studios have been working hard toupgrade their current lineup of titlesto play seamlessly on these consoles. In a recent Ask-Me-Anything on theWatch Dogs LegionReddit thread, the game’s live producer Lathieeshe Thillainathan and online director JP Cambiotti were asked the question about adding a performance mode for 60 FPS on next generation consoles. In a brief answer, Thillainathan and Cambiotti confirmed that 60 FPS for next-gen consoles is already in development. Owners of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S are likely excited to experience this performance mode, given thatWatch Dogs Legionis already available on next-gen consoles yet does not provide the option of maximizing their 60 FPS performance capabilities.
The team did not confirm when the performance mode will come toWatch Dogs Legion, but promised to announce the exact release date in their future title updates. With the performance node update not included in the recently sharedWatch Dogs Legioncontent roadmap, fans are left speculating about when 60 FPS will finally be implemented on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Even without the upcoming performance node for next-gen consoles,Watch Dogs Legionstill has a lot of content to offer while its fans are waiting for the update. Themultiplayer online mode ofWatch Dogs Legionhas just been released, plus cross-gen and cross-platform playability has also been confirmed to be coming soon to the game. Hopefully players will be able to be patient until the performance node update is officially released by the team.
