Bring out those tissues because the first trailer for the much-awaitedHarry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwartsspecial has arrived. The exclusive trailer sees the stars getting emotional as they reunite a decade after the final film in the extremely popular series was released. With the reunion special ready to premiere on HBO Max on January 1, the excitement amongHarry Potterfans is palpable.
TheHarry Potterreunion special will bring back Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and many other actors from the film franchise and take viewers on a magical journey to the wizarding world of Hogwarts. According to Warner Bros., theHarry Potterreunion special“will honor the magic behind the making of the films and the beautiful family created at Warner Bros. Studios London two decades ago.”

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwartswill include exclusive interviews, cast conversations, and a behind-the-scenes look at how the films were created. In the trailer, the dynamic trio, who portrayed the roles of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley, are seen talking about their iconic roles. They confess that they think of theHarry Pottercast as their family and that they practically grew up with each other. When the first film in the franchise was released, Radcliffe, Watson, and Grint were all between the ages of 10-12 years.
TheHarry Potterreunion trailer confirms that many of the films’ sets will be recreated for the special. Radcliffe is seen walking down Diagon Alley, Watson arrives in time to catch the train at the 9 ¾ platform, and the rest of the cast catch up over dinner atthe Hogwarts Great Hall. “It feels like no time has passed, and loads of time has passed,” Watson is heard saying as she reunites with Tom Felton, who portrayed the role of Draco Malfoy.
