Heavy Sniper Locations
To find a Heavy Sniper Rifle, players must go to one of several locations like the new points-of-interest which house spy-themed henchmen and an ID scanner locked chest.
Opening Locked Chests
To unlock chests which contain the Heavy Sniper, players can use one of two different methods. First, they have to shoot and incapacitate one of the GHOST or SHADOWhenchmen crawling around. After knocking one down, players need to carry that henchman over to the chest and scan them in order to open it up. Alternatively, there is a stealth approach involving disguises. There are phone booths located around several of these points that allow players to put on a henchman costume, which grants them scanning privileges for chests. This option isn’t as risky but entering combat will instantly drop the disguise. Note that after opening the chest, there is a chance that the Heavy Sniper isn’t among the loot that drops. If this occurs, players need to head to another location and try again.
On YouTube, user Kanga has uploaded a video showcasing some of the places which can drop the Heavy Sniper Rifle and the process of scanning chests.
In the end, players looking to grab the Heavy Sniper should be able to find it after several tries at worst. Those looking to avoid firefights with otherFortniteplayers are advised to stay away from the newest POIs and instead focus on the more obscure spawn points.
