Fortnitehas finally kicked off its Winterfest Challenges and players have just a few days to complete them. Today, players are challenged to stoke a Cozy Campfire to earn a special holiday-themed reward.
The Cozy Campfire challenge can be found in the main menu by clicking the snowflake tab and opening the Winter Lodge Challenges. Select the challenges under December 19th and players will be told to “Stoke a Cozy Campfire.“Cozy Campfires are scattered throughout the mapand can now be more frequently found within houses, typically with Christmas trees and presents nearby as well.

Previously inFortnite, players were able to carry Cozy Campfires and heal themselves in the midst of battle. With the new winter update, however, this is no longer an item in the game, so players will have to find them throughout the map. It should also be noted that once a campfire has been used, players will need to move on to the next as a campfire can not be lit twice.
Stoking the flame is incredibly simple, all gamers have to do is stand near the Cozy Campfire and select the option to light the fire depending on what platform they’re using. Players do not need to wait around to be healed by the flames, unless they’re in dire need, but merely lighting the fire will complete thisWinterfest Challenge. There are around 50 campfires scattered throughout the map, so in general, no matter where players land there is sure to be a campfire nearby.
Last yearFortnitecelebrated the 14 Days ofFortnite, but this year it’s all about theWinterfest Challenges that last until January 2nd. Plenty of holiday-themed loot will be available in the shops as well as achieved through the challenges. After completing the Cozy Campfire Challenge, players will receive a Holiday Sweater banner.
Fortnite’sWinterfest Challenges are coming hot off the heels of theStar Warseventwhich featured J.J. Abrams, Ben Schwartz, and Geoff Keighley who kicked off an exclusive sneak peek of the newStar Wars: Rise of Skywalkermovie. Players can still find several Jedi-themed items throughout the map, including imperial blasters found at TIE fighter crash sites and a variety of lightsabers for players to wield.
