Summary
WhileDeadpool 3may be approaching at a rapid pace, the details of the film are still surprisingly scant. Pretty much nothing is known about the actual plot of the film, what will be bringing the heroes together, and most importantly, no one really knows who the true villain of the film is set to be. There are plenty of casting rumors that could shake things up in a big way, but even one actress confirmed to be playing a villain has continued to leave fans scratching their heads.
IfDeadpool 3ends up being as bizarre as many people are predicting, with either time travel or universal travel of some kind occurring, the possibilities really do become endless. For all fans of the series know, Deadpool himself could end up as the true villain of the film, trying to destroy the entire Fox universe along with Wolverine’s son Daken. While an absolute long shot, no one really knows who the main villain is, and the possibilities are endless.

Deadpool 3’s Villain Hasn’t Yet Been Revealed
Somehow, with all the leaked photos, videos, and rumors, no one has any idea who the main villain ofDeadpool 3is. While many Marvel films are massive rumor mills in their own right,Deadpool 3might be the most infamous for rumorsthanks to the fact that it actually makes sense for literally anything to happen or for literally anyone to make an appearance. If Ben Affleck’s Daredevil or Jessica Alba’s Invisible Woman is going to make an appearance in the MCU,Deadpool 3is the perfect place to do so thanks to the meta nature of Deadpool.
There are dozens if not hundreds of rumoured actors and entertainerswho are said to be making cameos in the film, though virtually none of them have been truly confirmed. At the end of the day, nothing is true until it’s finished and up on the big screen. While fans of Deadpool have to guess at what villain he and Wolverine will be battling, it seemingly has been confirmed that actress Emma Corrin has been cast as the lead villain.

Emma Corrin Is Playing An Unknown Villain In Deadpool 3
While no one knowswhich villain Emma Corrin will be playing in the MCU, there are a few characters that seem like relatively safe guesses. Taking the bizarre nature of Deadpool into account, it’s possible that Corrin will be playing the embodiment of death in the MCU. The cosmic being known as Death has been mentioned and hinted at since the first phase of the MCU, and now might be the perfect time to introduce her to audiences through some strange obsession she’s fostered for Deadpool. A villain like this would easily force the likes of Deadpool and Wolverine to take refuge across time and space while they tried to find some way to stop her.
Another option that could work well is a female version of Deadpool – there are so many directions that the team behind the film could take the addition of a female Deadpool that it’s not even funny. She could be a Deadpool fangirl, wanting to be the one and only Deadpool in existence, simply an evil version of the Deadpool character from the multiverse, and so much more. However, if recent rumors are to be believed,it’s possible that Emma Corrin will be playing none other than Cassandra Nova, a powerful telepathic mutant who was the twin of Charles Xavier. This would provide a personal challenge for someone like Wolverine (thanks to his connection to Charles Xavier), while also giving him, Deadpool, and anyone else they run across for help a run for their money. Cassandra Nova as the villain could also make sense for the plot if rumors are true andDeadpool 3revolves around time travel.

What Other Villains Are Possible For Deadpool 3?
The problem with the MCU is that reports and what actors attached to roles say can’t be trusted. Clearly, one of the big goals of the MCU is to surprise as many people as possible, andDeadpool 3might be the perfect film to do that. This means that while Emma Corrin may very well indeed be in a lead villain role, that doesn’t mean she’ll be the only villain or even the ultimate (and often underused) villain. There are too many possible villains to count thanks to the open nature of the MCU and Deadpool’s addition to it from the Fox universe.
The biggest swerves possible would be to make the true villains of the film be either another version of Deadpool or one of thedifferent versions of the X-Men team. Fans likely wouldn’t see anything like this coming, and it would allow Marvel to continue their trend of appeasing fans with famous internet fan cast wishes. All it would take is for Deadpool to decide to kill the Fox universe and somehow convince Wolverine to help, or for an alternate and even more twisted Deadpool to take on the task of killing every hero in the multiverse. Two Deadpools would allow Ryan Reynolds to absolutely flex his comedic chops as he screams at himself over and over.
Other potential picks could be Typhoid Mary, a character Corrin could play who is yet another mutant with various psionic abilities. The twisted mind of Typhoid Mary could allow Corrin to do a lot with the role while still fitting in perfectly against Deadpool and Wolverine. It’s also possible for a twist that a character like Nimrod (thanks to the inclusion ofX-Men: Days Of Future Pastin the Fox timeline) or Immortus is the true villain. Immortus might make even more sense thanks to the ongoing Kang storyline, though it might feel a bit out of place to throw such a major figure to the future of the MCU into a seemingly random Deadpool story. Of course, for all anyone knows,Deadpool 3may focus much more on the journey than any one villain, leaving room for the theory thatDeadpool is about to accidentally cause the next wave of terror for the modern MCU.
Deadpool 3is set to release in theatres on May 3rd, 2024.
