World of Warcraftis adding a new in-game event in Patch 10.1.5, and its rewards are sure to make plenty of players happy. Several months have passed sinceDragonflightlaunched, and it’s fair to say that the latestWorld of Warcraftexpansion has been embraced by the community in a way that hasn’t been seen sinceLegion. Following the systems and mechanics bloat ofShadowlandsandBattle for Azeroth,Dragonflighthas been a remarkable breath of fresh air for the game, but that’s only been one half of what made it so successful.

The other thing that Blizzard Entertainment focused on was enhancing the player customization and social features of the game, adding new class options for severalWorld of Warcraftraces, introducing the Trading Post, and implementing true cross-faction gameplay. These decisions have paid off in spades, as the developers have largely regained the trust of the fans, and Patch 10.1.5 is the next step ofDragonflight’s journey of redemption.

World of Warcraftplayers who have dabbled inHearthstoneor played duringCataclysmwill no doubt remember Harrison Jones, the Indiana Jones expy who heavily featured in the southern Kalimdor zone of Uldum. According to Wowhead, the new community event coming in Patch 10.1.5 concerns the Preservationists, as players will help them unearth the secrets of Azeroth from August 30 to September 14. Among the rewards, the new PTR build confirms that fans will be able to acquire the iconic hat of Harrison Jones in a stylish blue color. Moreover, the event will also award players with Pattie the Alpaca mount, a hound by the name of Tobias, and the Inquisitive title.

WithEmbers of Nelthariongiving the Black Dragonflight a new Aspect, a lot of the patch concerned unearthing the forgotten relics of Deathwing and not-so-subtly teasing the new Evoker specialization. The legacy of all five Dragonflights has been a prevalent story theme even in the base zones of the Dragon Isles, and a faction like the Preservationists (or even Harrison Jones himself) would be a perfect addition to the plot.

Though it remains to be seen what the finale of Dragonflight will look like, many players believe that the Infinite Dragonflight will play a major role in the upcoming updates. Given that severalInfinite Dragon assets were discovered on the PTR, Blizzard seems to be entertaining the idea rather transparently. Before the stakes become world-changing, however, a brief adventure with Harrison Jones and the Preservationists might be a nice change of pace to break up the tension.
