Zack Snyder’sJustice Leaguehas been garnering a lot of attention on social media lately. In the past few weeks, Snyder has been teasing fans with snippets of information, including the release date for his most-awaited project. On February 7, he released two black and white clips, one of which looks like rough footage from the film, along with a release date for the next trailer.
On his official Twitter account, Snyder revealed that the next trailer drop will happen onFebruary 14, Valentine’s Day. Along with the announcement, Snyder shared a 15-second clip of Victor Stone, who later takes on the role of Cyborg, battling it out on the football field, thus keeping in line with thespirit of the Super Bowl. The caption, “On the goal line”, could reflect on the fact that Snyder is very close to achieving his goal ofreleasing his version of theJustice League.

This is just one of the few scenes that fans have been eagerly waiting to see play out, as it is one of the sequences that was removed from the theatrical cut ofJustice Leaguein 2017. In the comics, Stone is a high-school athlete who is involved in an accident, which leads to his father using experimental technology to save his life and turn him into a cyborg. His backstory wasnot given a lot of screen timein the previous installment of the movie, which is something that will be given more prominence in the Snyder Cut. In past interviews, Snyder has referred toRay Fisher, the actor who plays Cyborg, as the heart of the movie.
Another scene shared by Snyder on Vero, has gone viral on social media. While the original post’s caption didn’t reveal much detail, the footage is visible on what looks like a computer used for editing at the studios. As the camera zooms in, the film’s villain Steppenwolf comes into focus and seems to be in battle with the Amazons. Snyder has already offered fans a glimpse of the new and improved, more elaborate andspikey version of Steppenwolf, as compared to the one featured in the 2017 version of the movie. But, the clip shows just how monstrous he can be expected to be.
Just a few days ago, the movieofficially received its R-ratingfor “violence and some language”. But, this is something that Snyder expected, as was made clear in his interviews following the movie’s completion. Thefilm required extensive re-shoots, with a lot of footage being added to the Snyder Cut. Fans can expect many changes to the script and even the length of the movie, with the official run time now standing at four hours, a contrast to the two-hour long 2017 theatrical release.
