That particular moment has recently been immortalized by Reddit user thepixelpaint, who created an impressive watercolor depiction ofTears of the Kingdom’sTemple of Time, as seen from the southwest. The newly surfaced fan art is so detailed that it even includes portions of the South Eldin Sky Archipelago located to the northeast of the Great Sky Island. And though the fan painted this landscape in their own unique style, the painting still perfectly captures the yellow-dominated palette of the game’s many floating isles.
Elaborating on their technique, thepixelpaint revealed that they treated their original sketch to a “vibrant wash” before moving on to dyeing its details, which helped create even coloring across the image. The painting itself was done on a physical canvas. As for its subject of choice, the artist said that this particular view of the Temple of Time—which is also the location ofTears of the Kingdom’sThe Closed Door quest—is their favorite spot in the entire game.
