Ziggurat 2is a roguelikefirst-person shooter with a fantasy theme. Like most games in this genre, picking the best loadout is everything. In addition to weapons, loadouts ingames likeZiggurat 2usually include an item of some kind. Sometimes these are called accessories or tools; however, in this game, these supplemental items are referred to as amulets…because they come in the form of amulets.

Amulets have three abilities inZiggurat 2. Their main ability is available from the start, and over time, a player can unlock a passive and special power for an amulet. There are two main types of amulets in the game: those that have short cooldown times but a limited number of charges, and those with long cooldowns but an unlimited number of uses. The usefulness of an amulet is tied to the loadout a player is using, but the amulets listed below are ranked according to their overall worth on combat.

10Mana Petals

This game moves fast. The player moves fast, the player’s projectiles move fast, and the enemies move fast. This means that players, especially new players, are going to miss their targets — a lot.The Mana Petals amulet launches six homing projectiles, each with a different nature (fire, ice, etc.).Having a fire-and-forget weapon is invaluable in games likeZiggurat 2. The main reason it ranks lower is its long cooldown time.

If the player upgrades the Mana Petals and unlocks its passive power, it grants anextra 5% from mana crystals. When the special power is unlocked, thehoming projectiles' damageis increased.

9Amazon Amulet

InZiggurat 2, the staff weapon deals above average damage and has a better range than the other weapons. It is essentially the rifle type weapon for the game, and is typically the weapon of choice for boss battles. The biggest problem with this weapon is the mana usage doesn’t allow for many shots. The Amazon Amulet not onlypowers up the player’s staff weapon for six seconds, but it takes away mana cost too.

This amulet’s passive powerboosts the amount of staff mana from crystals by 10%.Meanwhile, its special powerimproves the player’s rate of fire with staff weapons by 8%.

8Scarab Of Imhotep

The surest way to lose (as in most games) is to run out of life (or health). In fast-paced first-person shooters likeZiggurat 2a player can have their health reduced to nothing in a matter of seconds. The Scarab of Imhotepdrops a (temporary) artifact on the battlefield that heals the player, who must be near the artifact to receive the healing. There are healing potions in the game, but with this amulet, the player can get passive healing while still engaging the enemy.

A5% boost to healing from healing potionsis the Scarab’s passive power. The special powerincreases the duration of the artifact’s healing effect,as well as its range.

7Mana Stone

Running out of mana inZiggurat 2is the same as running out of ammoinCall of Duty. It places the player in a compromising position, forcing them to run around in desperation. The Mana Stone helps prevent this scenario byrestoring 50% of the player’s mana when used. This can make boss fights a lot easier, but the player might have to use multiple charges. Fortunately, this amulet’s cooldown time is minimal.

The Mana Stone’s passive powerreduces mana usage by 5%.Its special power increases the amount of restored mana by 10%.

6Celestial Horn

This amulet’s ability isn’t flashy, nor does it deal damage directly, but it’s still one of the best inZiggurat 2. The Celestial Hornreduces incoming damage by 50%, and increases the player’s damage by 25%.In other words, it keeps the player alive longer and allows them to kill enemies more efficiently. This effect lasts for 6 seconds.

Gaining health from experience crystalsis this amulet’s passive power. This helps prevent the player’s health from getting too low during times when the game is being stingy with healing potions. The special powerincreases the duration of the main ability by 17%.

5Frozen Shard

When playing a first-person shooter, there are times when a player wishes they could just freeze all their enemies. The player can then engage in a little target practice on stationary foes. Abilities like that can turn a suicide mission into a tutorial.Freezing all enemiesis exactly what the Frozen Shard does.

There is a long cooldown time, but at least there’s no limit on charges. When unlocked, the passive powerincreases the duration enemies are frozen by 10%. The special powerincreases the duration of the freeze from the amulet by 20%.

4The Eyes Of Midas

The Eyes of Midasboosts the player’s alchemy weapon for 7.5 seconds, with no mana usage. Alchemy weapons are great for dealing with crowds of enemies, and many work similarly to a grenade. There is an exploit where a player can run from corner to corner in a room, causing the enemies to gather in a group as they pursue. Combining this strategy with this amulet allows the player to kill all the enemies in a room with only a few shots.

The passive ability allows the player toreceive 10% more mana from alchemy crystal. The special powerincreases rate of fire and damage by 5%. These two powers work very well alongside the main ability.

3Amulet Of Infinity

Mana is as important as life inZiggurat 2. This resource fuels the player’s weapons, and other than the wand mana, does not normally regenerate. During extended encounters, mana can run out. When this happens the player must rely on their wand; which is almost always their weakest weapon.

Using the Amulet of Infinity in Ziggurat 2

The Amulet of Infinity givesunlimited mana for six seconds. The passive power is a5% increase to rate of fire, and the special powercausesMana Wave to last six seconds.Unlimited mana is essentially unlimited ammunition, and six seconds is more than enough time, inZiggurat 2, to empty a room of enemies.

2Thieves' Badge

The wand is typically a player’s weakest weapon; the trade-off is that wand mana recharges. This recharge rate is fairly fast — not fast enough to maintain a constant rate-of-fire, but close (depending on the wand). Wands are okay for dealing with minions, but they aren’t the best for boss fights. That is, unless a player is wearing the Thieves' Badge, because this amuletboosts the power of the player’s wand and gives it life and mana stealing properties.

The passive power is a5% increase to the wearer’s movement speed. The special power recovers 20% of health and mana. This amulet makes the player’s main weapon hit harder while also stealing life and mana, makes the player faster, and provides a bit of immediate healing and mana regeneration.

1Seal Of Destiny

Easily one of the best amulets in the game, the Seal of Destinymakes the user invulnerable for ten seconds. For many gamers, this may not seem like enough time to really matter. But in a fast-pacedgame likeZiggurat 2, ten seconds is more than enough time to get to a safer spot, clear a room of minions, or finish off a boss.

The passive power is give the wearer a5% resistance to all incoming damage. The special power of the Seal of Destiny is anincrease of the invulnerability window to 15 seconds. This extension allows the player to remain invulnerable until the next charge is available.
