Pet ownership can be very rewarding, as too can taking care of animals in general. There are, however, certain tasks associated with it that aren’t so enjoyable, as anybody who’s already completed theZoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal CollectionweeklyXbox Game Passquest can likely attest to. The quest in question, which is worth 50 Microsoft Reward Points, requires players to “Clean up 5 Animal Poops” and has the potential to be incredibly frustrating.

Granted, picking up poop inZoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collectionis nowhere near as messy as it can be in real life, but it can still be a time-consuming task. This is because there is no “Press ‘P’ to Poop” option, meaning that players will have to sit back and wait for nature to take its course. Once it does though, they at least won’t have to get their hands dirty, as cleaning the poop upcanbe done with a simple button press.
How to Clean Up Animal Poop in Zoo Tycoon
Those hoping to clean up poop inZoo Tycoonshould first make sure toget rid of any zookeepersthey may already have, as these pesky park workers have a habit of swooping in and scooping up poop before players can ever get a chance. Once that’s been taken care of, they’ll then want to ensure that they have at least one large enclosure with multiple animals in it and press the Y button on theirXbox controllertoenter Tycoon View.
Once inside thesimulation game’s Tycoon View, players shouldhover over one of the animal exhibitsand thenpress the A button to bring up the edit menu, inside which they’ll find a number of different tabs. The third one from the left is labeled “Poop” and, assuming that there is actually poop to be cleaned — which is indicated by the tab being the same beige color as the ones surrounding it — players will be able topress A on the Poop tabto zoom in on the enclosure.
At this point, players will be able topress the A button to clean up any poop that’s in the enclosure. Sometimes, they may even be able to clean up multiple poops with a single button press, as indicated by the number of poops in the parentheses. To complete the quest, they’ll only need to clean up five poops in total, though anybody hoping to unlock thedifficult achievement, “Poop Master,” is going to need to scoop an eye-watering one thousand.
In the event that there is no more poop to be cleaned up, those playing in a sandbox zoo will have to wait for the animals to do their business. Alternatively, players can load up one of the scenarios from the game’s campaign mode and simply select the retry option each time they run out of poop. This will mean sitting throughZoo Tycoon’s ridiculously long loading screenmultiple times, however, and so is not recommended for those aiming to get to one thousand poops.
